On the hike up to the top of Mount Eros we visited a working orthodox monastery. We met a monk who showed us this saffron flower and how to pick the threads and dry for cooking. He told us how to reach the summit and find a straight cliff drop off the back of the island if we had the courage and time to make the climb.
And so we decided we had nothing but courage and time.
