Discovering Latvia this summer. First stop, Cape Kolka in the Slitere National Park. It's the place where two seas meet. The land is tough with winds that blow into the old pines and shape sand dunes.

It's truly a magical place, especially when you catch a 1 AM sunset from a cozy Saulesmajas - a barrel shaped hut for camping on the coast. There's a wonderful cafe in the campground and hot showers. The little town up the road has plenty of spots to pick up provisions for the beach. Not a bad spot to spend the 4th of July.
